Wedding Coordinating

As a professional Disc Jockey since 1989, I have been privileged to assist on hundreds of wonderful events; the majority being wedding days. At the same time, I have witnessed countless errors and mishaps due to poor communication and lack of organization.  In most cases, everything worked out in the end but it always frustrated me to see a newly married couple stressed out when I know it could have been easily avoided.

As part of my standard Disc Jockey service, I have been very involved in working with the other professionals at your wedding reception.  I know hundreds of different wedding vendors and get along extremely well with them.  Yet, there is one area that I truly wish to improve on.

As your Wedding Coordinator and/or Disc Jockey, it would be my job to organize all the loose ends that normally occur on a wedding day.  Recently I have heard stories about Brides acting as Coordinators for other Brides.  It looks to be a good money saving alternative; the drawback is that in most situations, you are getting help from a Bride who has planned one wedding…hers. The only vendors she has worked with are the ones she chose for her day. I have dozens of options for you in terms of vendors; each having different styles and prices to best accommodate your individual needs.

My experiences and knowledge of all aspects of a wedding day gives me a tremendous advantage over even the most experienced coordinators.  I know the questions that should, yet never get asked, and as a wedding vendor myself, I can identity with your banquet manager, photographer and videographer in ways that a standard coordinator simply cannot.

Please understand, I am not suggesting that every Disc Jockey is capable of being a coordinator.  Many of them are strictly interested in playing music and pay no attention to how their actions affect others.  It has always been my nature to pay more attention and care more about the entire evening, not just the music. Truth be told, I spend so much time preparing with my clients in terms of music selection prior to their event, that music at your reception comes second to the “behind the scenes” details. I believe the role of Coordinator and Master of Ceremonies, done correctly, truly makes a wedding day spectacular.

I am excited to be offering this additional service to you and hope you will take some time to discuss your special and unique event with me.  A wedding is a beautiful and unrepeatable occasion; it would be my honor to be responsible for making your "stress-free" dream come true.

Sincerely,

Mary Ann Ross
